Project 65's patron Lance Bombardier Ben Parkinson was invited to be the guest of honour at the Armed Forces Day celebrations in his home town of Doncaster.
Ben's recovery from his terrible and multiple injuries after a landmine explosion in Afghanistan has been so remarkable that Ben was able to make a speech at the celebrations to open the event.
Ben was extremely proud to be asked to be the guest of honour and was delighted to see so many people turn out to pay homage to those who have fought and died in the UK armed forces.
