PROJECT 65 joins forces with RED FRIDAY

Project 65 is very proud to announce that we are now supporting REDFRIDAY. This incredible but simple idea is the brainchild of Terry Orme who, after hearing an account from a friend who witnessed an amazing act of support for our troops whilst at Heathrow Airport, decided to establish a great way for the UK public to show their support for our heroes of the Armed Forces.

Terry said "A friend of mine was at Heathrow Airport some months ago and witnessed a group of soldiers walking through the terminal. Everyone in the building stopped and began clapping and cheering the soldiers and one little girl hugged and kissed one of the men and asked him to send it on to her Daddy who was fighting in Afghanistan. Everyone had tears in their eyes including me and I decided to try to build on this fantastic support. The idea of REDFRIDAY is very simple; wear something red on a Friday! A soldier's blood runs red so it seemed the obvious choice of colour to show your support for the Army, Navy and Royal Air Force who are separated from their families and loved ones whilst fighting a very tough war in Afghanistan. I want everyone to support this simple idea and send a great message of support to our troops. I know it will mean so much to them."

Day 2 of FORCES MARCH 2010 has now been renamed - REDFRIDAY. All participamts in the FORCESMARCH will wear something red on that day to show their support for our heroes.
